About the assignment
A critical access hospital system in Wyoming needs CRNA coverage at its Douglas location from Dec 28, 2026 to Jan 8, 2027, with further coverage needs after January once the schedule is set. Douglas is about 50 miles east of Casper.
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, with 40 hours guaranteed per week and no call. Case mix is orthopedics, spine, general surgery including robotics, GYN, urology, ophthalmology, GI and ENT, 7 to 10 patients a day, mostly adult with occasional healthy pediatric ENT cases. Spinal anesthetics are required; peripheral nerve blocks are helpful but not required.
This is independent practice. APRNs are licensed independent practitioners in Wyoming. There are 3 to 4 anesthesia providers on site per day, and an anesthesiologist is not on site at all times. A Wyoming license, AHA-issued PALS and an interview are required. Credentialing takes 30 to 60 days, so Wyoming-licensed candidates are needed for a Dec 1 start.
Submit your maximum availability, including weeks after January. Douglas is about an hour from the Casper airport and about 4 hours from Denver. A drive-in candidate is preferred.
